You Shall Have No Other Gods Before Me

You shall have no other Gods before me.

This is not a commandment, more of a guideline, a signpost. It points to a deeper truth that formless, divine, the Source is a foundation in our life. That it is the First, the most important thing for us because in the degree we feel it – which is actually not something outside of us, but our own true nature – we live a fulfilled and rich life. It really is that simple.

What happens to us is that we forget this and start to “worship” something else – our thought created concepts, our ideas about ourselves or the world or about what we can get from something other than the Source. That is what our false Gods can be, nothing else – just our mind’s constructions. We worship our thought generated constructions that look like our jobs, our partners, our children, money, our worries, fears and so on. By mistake, in our minds we put all these things prior to the formless, the divine, the presence and get lost in the form.

In reality, formless is always prior to the form. I truly believe this is the true meaning of this message.
